Delivered at your workplace     (or you can hire of one of our training venues for a private course)

First Aid For Schools: first aid for school support workers and people caring for children.  This is ideally used for people working alongside other staff with the 2 day/12 hour paediatric qualification.  It is not a replacement for the nationally recognised Emergency First Aid at Work (inc. Emergency Paediatric First Aid) course.  

The course will cover:

• The role of the first aider
• Primary survey
• Communication with, and care for, child casualties 
• CPR & AED for adult, child, and baby
• Unresponsive casualty
• Seizures
• Severe allergic reaction (use or auto-injectors)
• Asthma
• Choking
• Minor wounds, bleeding and shock
• Head injuries
• Injury to bones, muscles and joints

NOTE: the nationally recognised Emergency First Aid at Work (inc. Emergency Paediatric First Aid) course may be more appropriate for you.  Please contact us to discuss your requirements as this alternative course may provide better cover.
