Award in Education and Training Preston

Preston has more First Aid For All trainers living locally than anywhere outside Greater Manchester, with four in the city and another on the Fylde, and one of them has delivered more than thirty courses for us in the last two years. Onsite courses in Preston in that time have included a firm of solicitors, a residential care service, a food producer, a catering business and a sports club, most of them Emergency First Aid at Work, with Fire Marshal and the three-day First Aid at Work course also delivered locally.

We ran a public course in Preston in December 2023 and would like to run more. While there is no Preston date currently on sale, the nearest scheduled public dates are listed below with their distance from the city, and registering your interest is the quickest way to bring a public course back to Preston.

This is the nationally recognised Ofqual approved Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).

This AET course can be delivered in a variety of ways e.g. a 3 day classroom AET course, 1 or 2 days classroom and 1 or 2 days blended/online AET course, or a 4-day classroom or blended course.

The course will give learners the confidence and knowledge to teach adults. Learners will be able to create and deliver effective and inclusive training sessions for a wide range of adult education qualifications.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training an introduction to teaching.

Understand how to prepare, plan, deliver and evaluate teaching and learning sessions.
(there is a minimum requirement to deliver a micro teaching session.)

• Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training 
• Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approches in education and training
• Understaning assessments in education and training.

• those not currently teaching or training – achievement of the qualification only requires microteaching (unless units from the Learning and Development suite of qualifications are selected);

• those currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training) – although the qualification only requires microteaching (unless units from the Learning and Development suite of qualifications are selected), opportunities may be made available to observe and provide feedback on a trainee teacher's practice;

• those currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.

This is a lifetime qualification, it does not expire.
