Duty of care · included free

Free Safeguarding Module

If your organisation has a statutory or moral duty of care — a school, nursery, care home, sports club, youth charity, after-school provider, faith group — you can log safeguarding concerns, track external referrals to CSC / MASH / LADO and produce a tamper-evidenced audit pack on the same platform that runs your accident book. No per-user fee, no usage cap, no card required.

A paper concerns book has the same problems as a paper accident book

Loose-leaf notebooks lock concerns in one room, behind one person. They cannot be searched, cannot show a pattern, cannot survive a flood, and cannot prove on inspection day that you logged the concern the same hour you spotted it.

Software vendors have known this for a decade and the established names (CPOMS, MyConcern, Safeguard My School) charge schools between £800 and £1,500 a year for the answer. That is fine for a 1,200-pupil secondary — it stings for the eighty-pupil rural primary, the pre-school playgroup, the karate club that runs Saturdays in a community hall.

We bundled the essentials with the free Semseo Training account and lifted the price floor away.

Built for any organisation with a duty of care

The KCSIE framing is school-shaped but the underlying engine works for any setting where adults look after children or vulnerable adults.

Schools & MATs

KCSIE concern categories, pupil register, DSL/DDSL roles, pupil chronology PDF for school-to-school transfer, referrals to Children’s Social Care + LADO + Police + Channel.

Nurseries & pre-schools

EYFS welfare requirements, body-map for unexplained marks, parent/carer priority-contact, Ofsted-ready audit pack with tamper-evidence hash.

Sports clubs & coaches

NGB-aligned safeguarding records, concerns about coaches (LADO route), parent / carer contact register, multi-venue support for clubs running across sites.

Care homes & supported living

Vulnerable-adult concerns alongside accidents and medication errors. Same Article 9 retention model (25 years) for safeguarding records.

Charities & faith groups

Volunteer DBS tracking (ask — we will build it), incident-and-concern combined audit pack for Charity Commission serious-incident reporting.

Employers with a vulnerability lens

Domestic-abuse disclosures from staff, mental-health concerns, modern-slavery indicators in supply chains. The same private-by-default record structure applies.

What's in the free module

A working DSL has access to these the same hour they sign up.

If your current product does it, ask — we will build it

We are racing to build a free user base before the established paid players notice and react. Shipping features fast is how we win. If there is something your current product offers that you rely on, send us a sentence about it — we are likely to add it, and shipped features stay free.

Things people often ask about:

  • Single Central Record (SCR) with renewal reminders
  • DBS / safeguarding-training certificate tracking
  • MIS imports (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, Scholarpack)
  • Auto-link siblings (a concern on one child flags the others)
  • Linked pupil welfare flags (medical, dietary, EHCP summary)
  • Anonymous whistleblower / pupil-voice portal
  • Photo / video evidence with restricted access
  • Online safety feed integration (Smoothwall, Lightspeed)
  • Mobile app for at-the-scene logging
  • KCSIE training-evidence pack (Ofsted Part 2)
  • Concern templates per scenario (sexting, drug use)
  • Power BI / dashboard exports for MAT central teams
