Onsite First Aid Training in Liverpool
First Aid For All has been delivering first aid training on Merseyside since 2017, and most of that work is onsite in Liverpool itself: over the last three years we have run courses at the premises of youth and community organisations and support services across the city, from Basic First Aid for volunteers to Emergency First Aid at Work for employed staff. Our lead trainer for Merseyside lives in Liverpool, with colleagues based in Southport, St Helens and Widnes, so a course at your own site can usually be arranged at short notice on a date that suits you.
We have run open public courses in Knowsley before and intend to again. Until a Liverpool date is scheduled, the nearest public dates are listed below with their distance from the city, and registering your interest means you hear first when a local date goes on sale.

First Aid at Work Training Description
Blended Online First Aid at Work training course
The course covers the most common serious illnesses and injuries that can occur in the work place. The skills learnt on this course can help save lives at work, home, and at play.
NOTE: this course includes the Emergency Paediatric First Aid course qualification.
The course syllabus is as required under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
On successful completion the learner will be a ‘First Aider in the Work Place’ and they will be able to:
- Anaphylactic Shock: Administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylactic shock.
- Bites & Stings: Respond appropriately to bites and stings.
- Burns & Scalds: Administer first aid to a casualty with burns (including electrical) and scalds.
- Chest Injuries: Administer first aid to a casualty with chest injuries.
- Choking: Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking.
- CPR & AED: Administer CPR, including using an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
- Extremes of Body Temperature: Provide appropriate first aid for extremes of body temperature.
- Foreign Objects & Eye Injuries: Respond appropriately to foreign objects in the eyes, ears and nose, and eye injuries.
- Head, Neck & Back Injuries: Respond appropriately to head, neck and back injuries.
- Initial Assessment: Assess the situation and circumstances to act safely, promptly, and effectively in an emergency.
- Major Illnesses: Recognise the presence of major illnesses and provide appropriate first aid, including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, and diabetes.
- Minor Injuries: Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries, including small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns (including electrical), scalds, and splinters.
- Musculoskeletal & Spinal Injuries: Administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries.
- Poisoning: Administer first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning.
- Role of the First Aider: Understand the role of the first aider, including gaining consent, preventing cross-infection, recording incidents and actions, and using available equipment.
- Secondary Assessment: Administer a thorough head-to-toe examination of the casualty to identify signs of injury or illness, gather relevant history, and monitor signs to inform ongoing care.
- Shock: Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock.
- Unresponsive Casualty: Administer first aid to a casualty who is unresponsive, including seizures.
- Wounds & Bleeding: Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded or bleeding.
(This course is accepted by the SIA for the security industry close protection and door supervisor first aid course requirement from April 2021)
