Preston has more First Aid For All trainers living locally than anywhere outside Greater Manchester, with four in the city and another on the Fylde, and one of them has delivered more than thirty courses for us in the last two years. COSHH Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Training Description
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) law requires employers to control substances that could be harmful to health. The law applies to how employers work with hazardous substances in the workplace.
To comply with the COSHH regulations employers need to:
- Monitor exposure to hazardous substances
- Assess and identify risks from storage, handling, using, and disposal
- Control (prevent or limit) exposure to hazardous substances
- Provide information and training to employees
- Plan for emergencies: plans and procedures must be in place to deal with incidents involving hazardous substances
