First Aid for Dentist CPR and AED Training Description

This short first aid session is ideal for doctors and dental practice annual first aid CPD.

Doctors and dentists first aid CPD requirement is usually 2 hours of qualifying CPD first aid per year.

The contents of the course primarily CPR & AED but we will include other subjects as required e.g: asthma, anaphylaxis, choking.

We can add the attendees picture and also their GMC/GDC registration number to the first aid certificate.

On successful completion, the learner will be able to:

  1. Role of the Emergency First Aider: Understand the role of the first aider, including reference to gaining consent, preventing cross-infection, recording incidents and actions, and using available equipment.
  2. Initial Assessment: Assess the situation and circumstances to act safely, promptly, and effectively in an emergency.
  3. Unresponsive Casualty: Administer first aid to a casualty who is unresponsive, including seizures.
  4. CPR & AED: Administer CPR, including the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
  5. Choking: Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking.

Learners are assessed by one or more of: practical assessments, verbal questions, and scenarios.

This is ideal for people who do better with practical learning rather than theory tests.
