First Aid at Work Training
Blended First Aid at Work Requalification & Paediatric First Aid Training Course
This is a blended 2 day/12 hour first aid requalification course for people who hold the 3 day/18 hour First Aid at Work qualification (or a FREC3 or above).
FREE Paediatric First Aid (Ofsted compliant) 12 hour qualification is included with this course, as all the required topics/skills are covered. The FAIB approved certificate we issue specifies both qualifications.
Day 1 is completed online at your own pace.
Day 2 is completed in the classroom.
Note: The online first aid training should be completed before the classroom day.
IMPORTANT: Learners must have a valid First Aid at Work certificate that is within 3 months before expiry and 1 month after expiry. Learners are requalified from the same date on the certificate +3 years so no time is gained or lost by coming back early or late. If coming back after the expiry date the person is not a qualified first aider during the 28 days grace period.
The original course must have been at least 50% classroom training. 100% online first aid at work courses are not valid!
This first aid course complies with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
It covers all the most common serious illnesses and injuries that can occur in the work place. The skills learnt on this course can help save lives at work, home, and at play.
On successful completion this gives the learner the right to be an ‘First Aider in the Work Place’.

Attendees on this course can be assessed by one of the following options:

Theory assessment by an end-of-course multiple choice test.
A good option for staff who want a mix of practical and theory and who perform well with written tests. - 100% practical assessment of all skills.
There is no end-of-course test. Attendees must participate fully during the course.
This assessment option should be considered for learners who enjoy practical work. It is a good option for learners who may not have English as a first language. Learners must still have a good understanding of spoken English.
All learners on a course must be assessed using the same option.
