3 Day First Aid Course Details
This open/public 3 day First Aid at Work course is a nationally recognised qualification. It is an affordable way to train small numbers of staff in the full 3 day first aid course and provide full first aid cover in your organisation. First Aid at Work training course (FAIB Level 3) This is the initial course consisting of 3 days/18 hours first aid training. This first aid course is compliant with the Health & Safety Executive HSE requirements, as required under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Nationally recognised, FAIB Accredited. Level 3. The course covers the most common serious illnesses and injuries that can occur in the work place. The skills learnt on this course can help save lives at work, home, and at play. The 3 day First Aid At Work (FAW) training course is also highly recommended for anyone with an interest in first aid or who find themselves caring for relatives. NOTE: this course now includes the Emergency Paediatric First Aid course syllabus. The certificate is valid for both qualifications. On successful completion the learner will be a ‘First Aider in the Work Place’ and they will be able to: Understand the role of the first aider including reference to: The importance of preventing cross infection The need for recording incidents and actions Use of available equipment Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly, and effectively in an emergency Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure) Administer CPR including using an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded or bleeding Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries including small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns (inc. electrical) and scalds, splinters Administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries Administer first aid to a casualty with head injuries Administer first aid to a casualty with burns (inc. electrical) & scalds Administer first aid to a casualty with eye injuries Administer first aid to a casualty with chest injuries Administer first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning Administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylactic shock Recognise the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid (including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes) Provide appropriate first aid for hypothermia and heat stroke (This course is accepted by the SIA for the security industry close protection and door supervisor first aid course requirement from April 2021 Contact us if you want to see this in writing from the SIA.)

The church is 2 minutes drive from J7 of the M60. Easy to find. Opposite McDonalds. There is limited free parking at this venue. It is usually adequate for all attendees. All day parking right next to the venue (less than a 1 min walk) in Stretford Shopping Mall is about £3: Chester Road, M32 9BD. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time.
