Emergency First Aid at Work + EPFA certificates are usually emailed within 24 hours of course completion. If urgent, we can email it on the same day the course finishes.
Certificates remain available online for 5 years. It is free to view/download whenever required.

Photo on Emergency First Aid at Work + EPFA certificate? If needed for your employer or for working overseas, we can take your photo while you are on the course and add it to your Emergency First Aid at Work + EPFA certificate. This is only possible on certificates/qualifications that state FAFA, IOL, or TIB, and not Ofqual.
1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work + EPFA Course Details
The HSE compliant 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work / EFAW training course must be a minimum of 6 hours training time to learn first aid with a mixture of theory, individual and group work, and practical sessions.
This course is accepted by the HSE and it is Level 3.
No prior knowledge or experience of first aid is required.
The course syllabus is as required under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
On successful completion, the learner will be recognised as an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace and will be able to:
- Choking: Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking.
- CPR & AED: Administer CPR, including the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
- Initial Assessment: Assess the situation and circumstances to act safely, promptly, and effectively in an emergency.
- Minor Injuries: Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries, including small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns (including electrical), scalds, and splinters.
- Role of the Emergency First Aider: Understand the role of the first aider, including reference to gaining consent, preventing cross-infection, recording incidents and actions, and using available equipment.
- Shock: Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock.
- Unresponsive Casualty: Administer first aid to a casualty who is unresponsive, including seizures.
- Wounds & Bleeding: Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded or bleeding including severe bleeds and tourniquets.
(This course is accepted by the SIA for the security industry door supervisor first aid course requirement from April 2021.)
