COSHH Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Training Description
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) law requires employers to control substances that could be harmful to health. The law applies to how employers work with hazardous substances in the workplace.
To comply with the COSHH regulations employers need to:
- Monitor exposure to hazardous substances
- Assess and identify risks from storage, handling, using, and disposal
- Control (prevent or limit) exposure to hazardous substances
- Provide information and training to employees
- Plan for emergencies: plans and procedures must be in place to deal with incidents involving hazardous substances
