This is the +F (forestry) first aid requirement, usually added to a standard first aid course but it can be run as a separate course.

These are the +F first aid topics we cover:

• Dealing with a severe bleed inc. tourniquets: genuine and improvised
• Crush injury
• Tick bites, tick removal and Lyme disease
• Hypothermia (we also include heat exhaustion and heat stroke)

Learners are assessed by one or more of: practical assessments, verbal questions, and scenarios.

This is ideal for people who do better with practical learning rather than theory tests.
